Eastern Shaw

Shaw consists of the area west of North Capitol, south of Florida Avenue, east of 16th St., NW and north of Massachusetts and New York Avenues. The eastern section that concerns this site the most is the area west of 7th street and north of N Streets, east of the Logan Circle and north of the Mt. Vernon sections of Shaw.

The eastern part of Shaw is less commerical than it's western part with more residential housing or few commerical buildings along the main traffic corridors of P St., Florida, Rhode Island and New Jersey Aves. There is commerce along North Capitol but there are still many gaps between businesses along that route.
