Metro hates bus riders II

My 7AM bus did not show up till 7:30AM, just in time to meet up with the 7:30 bus that I'm going to guess was on time. The driver, had no clue of where to go. At one point the 7:30 bus got ahead and we told the driver to just follow the bus in front of him. At least it showed up, Friday the 7AM bus was a complete no-show.
We were all going to work. Luckily we have flexable shedules, but there are errands that need running, and other transportation connections that depend on arriving at work at a certain time. I'm going to have to dip into my annual leave so I can leave at my regular time. Showing up late, or not at all makes many question the logic of a metro based commute. I would hate to guess what would be the fate for people who actually have to show up to work on time or at a specific time.

For that reason, when I moved, I made sure I would be near a Metro station. Quality of the bus service declines every year.

I feel your pain. I live in eastern Columbia Heights, just far enought from the metro to make the bus more convenient than walking to the station and then transfering to a different line to get to Farragut. There are so many buses in my area, yet I have a heck of a time getting to work at any consistent hour.

It's to the point that if I have an 8:30 or 9:00 am meeting I purposely come in to work by 7:30, just so I can be sure I don't miss it. It doesn't matter if its the 66/8, the 42, the H series, the 50s, the S buses or the 70s, none of them can follow a schedule of any kind during rush hour.
