Owner of 304 Q Seeks Zoning Variance
Anyone know what this is about?I just noticed "Zoning Variance for Renovation of 304 Q Street, NW ……Jason Bonnet, owner (5c01)" as an agenda item on the ANC 5C agenda. If there is a zoning application it isn't on the BZA schedule as far as I can tell. Good lord knows I don't want to go to the ANC meeting just to find out. But on the other hand, if there is a plan to squeeze a bunch of people into a smaller space than is suitable for the neighborhood, then that needs to quashed asap.

Good eye Mari, good question for Anita.
Now I like Anita, but with our last zoning issue (1700 block of 4th) she wasn't very responsive.
she'll reply to personal emails, maybe—you just won't get to reply in a public forum, that's all.
There were personal emails and maybe even a phone call. However, the effort required s "Karl"** and more sympathy from leadership.
**Karl spearheaded an effort to deny W. Mondi a variance to build a bunch of skinny condos on Richardson Pl. He is like a pit bull in that he didn't let go of the case until victory. He got into the details building a strong argument and was in constant contact with necessary players.
